Making Milk Look Tasty
My friends at Frooishen asked me to help them out with a new, fresh direction for their client, Nutpods, a plant-based milk product line. The biggest challenge was making white milk look fresh against a pure white background while keeping in mind the print production limitations. They wanted splashing milk around their logo and stylized watercolor illustrations for the flavor ingredients.
I started with a splash!! Instead of a colored watercolor, I painted the art in grayscale with 2 different layers. This way the designers could set the color to what they needed and easily adjust the colors without having to repaint the whole thing. I am all about figuring out flexibility within my artwork because we all know there are going to be tweaks.
